Download Festival Cancelled

Download festival has joined the ever growing list of music events to be cancelled due to the coronavirus.

The festival was due to take place from the 12th to the 14th of June at Donington Park. However, in a statement published yesterday, the festival organisers announced the festival’s cancellation and expressed their disappointment and offered their “heartfelt apologies” to everyone who was looking forward to going.

Organisers assured fans that the festival will be back next year saying, “Now, more than ever, we need the Download spirit to thrive and offer support to those that need it most.”

If you are a Download Festival ticket holder, you will be able to claim a refund from the ticketing agent who sold you the ticket, or you can keep the ticket and use it next year.

Many other UK festivals have been cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus, including the UK’s largest and more well-known festival, Glastonbury.
