Ozzy Osbourne Becomes Face of Anti-Declawing Campaign

Proving once again that nothing can hold him back, Ozzy Osbourne has become the face of a new anti-declawing campaign for PETA just one week after revealing he suffers from Parkinson’s disease.

“Amputating a cat’s toes is twisted and wrong,” said Ozzy. The heavy metal superstar went on to say, “If your couch is more important to you than your cat’s health and happiness, you don’t deserve to have an animal!”

Now perhaps you, like us, had never heard of declawing cats. That’s because the practice is basically banned in the UK, but it remains popular across the pond with nearly 30% of cats in the USA having been declawed.

Cats everywhere will be pleased to hear that Ozzy is on their side and perhaps even more grateful to hear that New York has already banned declawing, offering hope that other states will soon follow suit.

Ozzy’s new album, Ordinary Man, will be released on February 21st on Epic Records. The release will be followed by a tour which begins in May.
