On Tuesday night, Roger Waters branded American President, Donald Trump, a “tyrant” and “mass destroyer” during a Q&A session after the screening of his film, Us + Them, in New York.
Waters went on to say, “The United States of America is not a fool’s paradise, it’s a fool’s hell.” Before going on to claim Trump is a man “Who has failed at fucking everything in his life except becoming the biggest tyrant and mass murderer and mass destroyer of everything that any of us might love or cherish.”
His tirade continued throughout the Q&A as he discussed propaganda, the meaning behind Pink Floyd lyrics, back to propaganda, and then onto the war machine and people being killed for profit.
The Pink Floyd co-founder is currently gearing up for yet another epic tour. In 2017, Waters launched the Us + Them tour, which is the topic of the movie he was screening Tuesday night. The tour reputedly cost $4 million to put together but racked in at least $25 million.
His new tour, named after the Extinction Rebellion handbook, “This is Not A Drill,” will start in July.
